In what area would I want to specialize

Hello colleagues, this week I will talk about the specialty I want to devote myself as a psychologist and which is the area that interests me the most.

The specialty to which I want to dedicate myself is clinical psychology, since I think that with the clinical psychologist, it is somewhat easier to find solutions to discomforts and difficulties since it gathers the characteristics of all the other areas to be able to give an adequate response according to the case.

In this way, clinical psychology will not ignore the valuable knowledge of other theories such as psychoanalysis, deep psychology that analyzes the unconscious motivations of our behavior; Cognitive Theories that study the phenomena of perception, Behaviorism with its learning techniques and its formulas to eradicate bad habits, Experimental Psychology, which studies behavior, nor the psychological tests that measure human behavior, and modern postures such as Transpersonal theory, one of the last contributions.

Not ignoring any psychological theory is desirable so that every psychologist can be guided in a coherent way towards the most operational way of treating each patient as a unique person.

Experience is the only thing that allows a psychologist to perform the necessary synthesis and understand that the only theory is that there is no theory, because the important thing is to grasp the essential that each one has and apply appropriately according to the needs of each person.

And this is why I would like to specialize in Clinic and ideally be able to practice it in my own practice.

Postgraduates

Magister, doctorate and postdoctoral students are persons made up of women and men who dedicate a large part of their lives to study, and that is why they were called to promote the development of Chile in all areas of human knowledge. That is why I have always wanted to be part of this group of students, I am very fond of the idea of ​​being able to help with my knowledge to society, providing all the tools I can get from the study.

My options for postgraduate studies that could be taken in Chile, first in Magister in Clinical Psychology of Adults in the University of Chile, since clinical psychology calls me a lot and especially because I would like to specialize in psychoanalysis, in the same way that I could also take the Master in Intersubjective Psychoanalytic Psychotherapy from the Catholic University. With respect to the higher grades, my two options are in the Catholic University, finding as a first option the doctorate in psychology and in second option the doctorate in psychotherapy.

In the same way, I would like to study outside of Chile and specialize, as I mentioned earlier, in clinical psychology, psychoanalysis or psychotherapy.

Being very realistic and having this information to write this post, I realized that it is very expensive and difficult to achieve these objectives, but I believe that with perseverance, studying and working hard could achieve my goal of studying postgraduate courses in Chile, or even better out from here.

My pets

Currently, in my house, there are 4 pets, two dogs and two cats, the dogs: Kenay and Diango are the pets of my cousins (since I live with them), while the two cats: Neo and Mel, are mine and my mother

With respect to the dogs of the house, Kenay, who is of labrador race, is the oldest, who arrived in 2007 at home when he was a baby. Kenay is a very calm dog, tender and is very loved by the family. The other dog, Diango, my uncle adopted him in 2014, because a year earlier he lived on our street and was fed by my uncle when he could, until one day we decided to adopted it.

My cats are what I love most in life, because Neo, its my first pet, and I adopted it when I went through a bad time, it keep me company and we give each other love <3. My cat Neo is a black cat that we rescued from the street in May of last year, when it was roughly 1 month and a half, so it is currently more than a year old.

Mel is the last pet that came to our house, is a cat that was my mother found in a trapped tree, and which my mother decided to adopt in the summer of this year. Mel is a gray cat and yellow eyes very tender and playful. Like all the pets in this house, day and day receive a lot of love for the part of all those who live here.

My favorite food is Chinese food.

First of all, I love the Chinese food because I like noodles, and they are soft and have a delicious soup on it, as well as in the noodle, you can put a spicy sauce to add flavor. There are different kinds of noodles such as chicken chow mein witch is my favorite. I like to eat it because it is soft and I like soy sauce with chicken and noodles. Another one of my favorite Chinese food is fried rice, I like it steamed and with carrots, peas, and shrimp. I like chow fun too because it is very oily and is fun to eat because you can stack it up and stab it with your chopstick. Shrimp balls are good too, because are crunchy and I REALLY LOVE SHRIMP. I like egg rolls too because there are vegetables, meat, and you can dip it in a sauce (it’s so tasty when you dip it in sweet and sour sauce).

One of the most important reasons why Chinese food is my favorite is because they remind me of my childhood and those nice lunches and dinners that I shared with my mother in the restaurant that was located in front of her work.

The future job I would like to have

Hi everyone, today I’m going to tell you about the future job I would like to have, that would be like a psychologist. I would like be a psychologist, among other reasons, because I was good read books (that I know I will have to read a lot) about everything, and, since that I’m 15 years my favorite class are philosophy and I feel so interested in science and everything about the human mind, that made me finely decide study psychology. The jobs I want to have is like an investigator of the human conduct and mind, and make good investigations for improve the consciousness about psychology.

When I was a child I dream to be an attorney because I liked to discuss (even today) and win in this. The last year my other option to study is computer science but that are my second option.

Ideally I would like work in a consulting room and I wanted to be my own boss to have more time for my hobbies, family, friends and for me in general. But being honest with myself I think I do not have that possibility, at the least, in the near future, but I will try.

The best holidays I"ve ever had

I loved going to Pucón (Araucanía) when I was 14 to stay with my family for a few weeks.... is the most amazing place, so clean and fresh and the people are lovey! I really really enjoyed that.

That summer I also went to Temuco, especially Chol-Chol, another amazing place. Massive culture shock, such a poor place but the people are very friendly and always smiling and happy! ! It made me feel very welcome.... even though one very old lady at a market was laughing at me because I was so white haha. 

Here I collected very good experiences, for example made friends with a local who took us to his home to meet his parents and family... wonderful experience, they even shared a cup of tea with us!. Some locals let us borrow their lake casting gear and when we caught a fish they skinned and cooked it for us there and then on the lake, delicious!.

I really loved it there, it was so peaceful and had a relaxing atmosphere I wouldn't hesitate to go again, I totally loved it.

The Place I'd Like To Visit

I would really like to visit the European continent because I think it has many attractions that deserve the trip from the other side of the world to visit and enjoy. I find his story appealing, the multiplicity of cultures, the natural beauties, but above all the architecture, as well as the ease of transport from one country to the other.

Some of the places that I would like to visit are Spain, France, Italy, Greece and England initially, since they are the classics for tourists and they have beautiful and recognized cities such as Paris, Rome, London, Valencia, Barcelona, Madrid and many more.

I am also interested in visiting Europe to get to know the sea since I have been told that its climate is a magnet for tourists from all over the world and that it has excellent places to discover the history of ancient civilizations or to carry out outdoor adventure and leisure activities.
